Global pandemic has led to significant shift in the way our society functions and the way we perceive the world. Unemployment is at very high levels, social distancing is here to stay for a long time and we may face huger, homelessness and mental health issues at much higher levels than we normally do. In this new world, traditional ways of conducting business may no longer work and creative thinking is given a chance to shine. Nonprofits can meet this challenge, but they have to rethink their purpose. Perhaps now is the time to truly examine what your organization is doing and what are the issues it strives to address. Identify new collaboration opportunities and connect to new stakeholders that you may now find. New ways of creating revenue also need to explored. Technology can provide increased effectiveness to any organization, and especially to nonprofits who are traditionally not technology oriented. Finally, be a part of policy and decision making. The decision made at higher levels will affect all spheres of society and nonprofits should be there to hit the ground running.
