YouTube is number one global video platform and search engine that is only behind Google…
Have you been sleeping on YouTube marketing?
If the answer is yes, you're not alone. But the truth is that YouTube is the world's second-largest search engine. How many times have you been in conversation with someone and they said the reason they knew how to do something was because they Youtubed it? Only Google sees more traffic than YouTube.
This creates a huge opportunity for Nonprofits like yours to find a whole new audience with video marketing.
Do your constituents know what goes into your every day? Show them! Take them behind the scenes of what goes into your every day. Whether it’s packing up boxes to deliver food to homebound seniors, or creating activities for afters chool programs — it’s also a really fun way to get creative and allow your audience to get to know things they may not have known otherwise.
No one can tell your services better than the people receiving them. If your organization allows, begin creating videos with the recipients of your services. Personal stories not only raise the dollars, but they also help raise awareness. People connect to other people and their stories.
Just a few weeks ago it was volunteer appreciation day, but I think everyone can agree — volunteers make your Nonprofit go round. Highlight them and appreciate them! Even if the answer is no, asking them to be featured is an honor. And, if they are being spotlighted, they’re likely to share with their network and let others know why they love volunteering with your organization so much!
Become the expert within your niche. Take the time and have your executive team and board members create educational videos. These should be simple less than one minute videos to share facts about your cause, what your organization does to help, and how to get involved. Building authority is essential in creating involvement within your organization.
If there’s one thing we hope you'll take away from this post is that YouTube marketing is one of the best ways to connect with your audience, share your expertise, and keep growing awareness for your organization.
It feels like there are so many things happening everyday — especially over the last…
